Christine & Phil Jensen
Christine and Phil Jensen have owned and run small yet internationally recognised cake design studio improbably located in West Cornwall. Their innovative custom cake creations have been sought out for both flavour and design flair, and are delivered across the UK.
Their award winning skills and business experiences are regularly demonstrated and shared at national cake shows and industry events across the UK, with customary warm, engaging, open style. Phil joined the business in 2015. (Christine & Phil have been married for 25 years this year, but working in cake together was an entirely new level of togetherness!) With backgrounds in the health service and architecture (and both with MA’s that further enabled us to teach in our respective fields), we refocused and retrained with some serious study of patisserie and confectionery.
Peboryon is now a preferred cake supplier to The Dorchester, The Langham, The Ned, along with other 5 star London hotels. In the South West, we’re preferred suppliers to Watergate Bay, Hotel Endsleigh, Hotel Tresanton and fine Country Houses like Boconnoc Estate.
Their experience of the isolation, hardship, and lack of knowledge when they started out in the industry drove them in 2018 to found The Cake Professionals, a business organisation focussed on practically supporting UK cake entrepreneurs, to help them thrive, not just survive.
This will be their third annual conference. It will be followed later this year with The Cake Professionals Awards, their second national awards programme for real cake orders.
The desire to honour and celebrate people well is the fuel behind their passion.

Both Phil & Christine are trained public speakers. With decades of experience in working in groups, workshops and at the podium, across subjects as varied as dealing with your demons to global supply chain development.
